A Couple of Nice Recent Movers, Kodiak Oil & Gas (KOG) & Amazon.com (AMZN)

Thought I’d show a couple of charts I recently posted on Twitter & Stocktwits, even though there have MANY other big recent movers, which I’ll get to in my next post(s).

I caught Kodiak Oil & Gas (KOG) when it had set up in a 9-week flat base chart pattern, first featuring it with a $13.90 buy point in my June 18th subscriber update. It promptly broke out, but retested my buy point on June 24th. Then it took off with gusto, notching a 15% gain in 22 days (the chart below was captured a little before Friday’s market close).

Amazon.com (AMZN) on the other hand, set up in an explosive reverse head-and-shoulders chart pattern, and was featured with a buy point of $313.39 in my May 25th subscriber update. It edged above my buy point briefly then finally broke out on huge volume on June 5th.

I featured Amazon.com (AMZN) two other times after my initial buy point as the stock consolidated and then made additional measured moves higher, and by Friday, July 18th, it was up around $45.27/share above my first buy point a nice, 14.4% gain (the above chart was camptured a few minutes before the market’s close).

I welcome your comments!
